Our client is a provider of the world's most rugged, water-submersible mobile phones designed specifically for workers in demanding and hazardous environments. They specialize in workforce-critical communication tools for vertical industries including construction, security, oil, gas and chemical operations, utilities, transportation and logistics, forestry, agriculture and defense.

The VP Business Development will be responsible for managing the partnership program and leading strategic external relationships at the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will include regularly leading key partner discussions, working closely with sales and management team, and executing the CEO’s business development vision.
Main Responsibilities
 

  • Managing the partner program of over 800 application partners. Includes staying regularly engaged with partners, supporting technical and API questions about the products, generating press releases, customer leads and go to market opportunities with the companies.

  • Creating new partner growth. Involves identifying new partner targets, engaging with key executives, and building strong relationships with each organization

  • Creating new go-to-market strategies with partners.: identifying key market trends/opportunities, strategic planning with partners, working closely with sales and operations teams to facilitate, negotiate contracts or financial aspects of the partnership.

  • Supporting sales teams. This can include listening to customer needs and recommending partners that meet those or making sure specific solutions they use are tested and supported on our products.

  • Administrator of partner portal. This includes user onboarding, keeping technical information up to date, offering new content regularly for partners and internal teams, and responding to regular inquiries and questions.

  • Weekly partner webinars. Includes offering training and education to the sales team with various content and webinars to highlight unique partners and solutions available for customers.

  • Conference support including Annual Developer Conference. This includes setting up meetings with partners, organizing demo devices and materials for partner booths, speaking on panels, and managing event logistics
