People come to Google Search billions of times per day to explore topics and answer all sorts of questions -- from basic ones, like finding sushi nearby, to some of the most fundamental in areas like career and health. More than ever, Google can play a crucial role keeping people in the know throughout the day and anywhere they are.

As a Quantitative Marketing Analyst, you will evaluate and help to measure the impact of marketing initiatives including integrated campaigns, global partnerships, and growth marketing. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of global marketing, product management, analytics and engineering teams to tap into the underlying data, align on key metrics & methodologies, and generate insights to drive user growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with large, complex data sets across multiple products.

  • Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems.

  • Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.

  • Executes with limited guidance and proactively takes initiative to kick off work streams and projects.

  • Build and prototype analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale.

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of Google data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for both products development and business strategy.

  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams.

  • Work closely with global marketing, product management, analytics, and engineers to identify opportunities for improvements to google products.

    Make presentations and business recommendations (senior executives, global marketers, product) with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders

    Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., data science, economics, computer science, mathematics, engineering discipline)

  • 2 years of relevant work experience in data analysis as well as business application

  • Strong in Python, R, SQL, Hadoop, and other relevant tools to manipulate and analyze big data.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and distill data into actionable insights

  • Demonstrated presentation skills to key stakeholders

    Preferred qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in data analysis and business application

  • Ability to influence at all levels and work effectively across functions and geographies

    Ability to dig in and understand the details of a problem while at the same time understanding the strategic view.
