Overview of Position

The part-time Sales and Visual Sales position is responsible for ensuring that every customer receives astonishing customer service through selling complete solutions while participating in maintaining the visual presentation of our store. This position understands sales and merchandising goals and is accountable for partnering with the store to reach these goals. This is a part-time, hourly, non- exempt position.

Position Reports To

Store Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Establishes effective connections with a variety of customers while maintaining an awareness of the salesfloor to help multiple customers

  •  Understands importance of and how to successfully implement our Man in the Desert Selling approach which includes an approach, a connection and a sale

  •  Demonstrates effective selling skills, anticipating the needs of customers and then implementing the appropriate action or solution

  • Consistently works to improve product knowledge and shares information with customers and the store team

  •  Provides support to the Visual Sales efforts in the store by actively participating in the maintenance of the store

  •  Demonstrates a strong understanding of and actively supports inventory accuracy

  •  Reviews company communication, including memos, training materials, campaign direction, product updates, etc., during work shift

  •  Demonstrates enthusiastic and productive behavior, with the goal of providing exceptional service to our customers and meeting or exceeding company goals and objectives

  •  Supports all company initiatives and directives, campaigns and special events in a timely manner

  • Actively engages with customers to solve their organizational challenges

  •  Responsible for supporting store sales goals in partnership with the store team each day

  • Handles cash and other valuables appropriately and securely

Job Description

  • Maintains a safe working and shopping environment, utilizing all available resources, ensuring safety and security of the employees, customers and property

  • Assists customers with personal confidential information related to the Company credit card and application process

  • Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule

  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information

  • Performs other requested tasks and duties

    Experience and Skills Required

    •  College degree preferred

    • 1-2 years selling experience preferred

    • Computer skills

    •  Is able to speak confidently and comfortably before groups of varying sizes and can adapt delivery according to the needs of the audience

    • Is committed to working scheduled hours and supports changing business needs

    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner at all levels within and outside the organization

    • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner

    • Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week

    • Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge

    • Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once

    • Detail oriented with solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure

    • Makes effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
