About the Internship

The role of the Homebuyer Education Content Intern is to execute and project manage a series of educational materials for our customers. You will work out of Landed’s San Francisco office.

By writing, copyediting, and project managing educational content for Landed, you will help us further our vision of upholding those who uphold us. This paid internship is ideal for a graduate student leader who is excited to build expertise in content marketing/production, work closely with a Customer Experience team, and support vital work for a mission-driven company.

The Homebuyer Education Content Intern will work with the Engagement Marketing & Communications Lead to ensure educational content needs are executed efficiently, creatively, consistently, and on a tight deadline. From day one, you can expect to focus on:

    • Project management: You will serve as the marketing and communications team’s advocate for homebuyer education, relentlessly moving forward and completing content projects that serve the needs of our customers. You will ensure a large volume of high-quality, educational content is completed during the summer of 2019. You will collaborate closely with the Engagement Lead to triage content needs related to homebuyer education.

    • Content creation and execution: You will create educational materials involving complex visual and written elements. You will produce clear, compelling content with the utmost attention to the details of Landed’s messaging and target audiences, taking time to thoroughly understand the ins and outs of the homebuying experience as well as the experience of public school educators.

    • Editing and style adherence: You will become familiar with Landed’s style guide, adhere to Landed corporate identity guidelines, and help shape and codify our style guidelines as we grow. When needed, you will assist team members in ensuring their own homebuyer education content is carefully copyedited and formatted.

    • Learning and reflection: You will set goals at the beginning of the summer and track progress against them throughout the summer. You will provide regular, transparent updates on progress and learnings from educational content projects.

    • Learn and adhere to team norms, especially in terms of communication and project management.

You’ll bring these skills and strengths to the role:

    • Writing: You are an excellent writer and are known for being a great storyteller and content creator. You have a portfolio to prove it.

    • Design: You have an eye for design and are able to independently project manage and edit graphics such as digital illustrations, infographics, and PDF documents. You must demonstrate prior experience doing this.

    • Communication: You excel at explaining difficult concepts simply. You adjust your communication style to meet the unique needs of people and are able to translate messages among different stakeholders. You’ll know how to message the mission of Landed effectively.

    • Project and Time Management: You’re decisive, independent, and extremely detail-oriented. You can organize the work, set priorities, and determine what resources you need to achieve those priorities in a deadline-oriented environment. You’re able to self-manage while also working collaboratively with a team to meet their needs.

    • You have a comfort and a willingness to learn our systems (HubSpot, Slack, Google Drive, etc.)

    • You have experience developing creative content such as graphics, promotional videos, etc.

    • You have experience with Adobe Creative products, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

    • You have a commitment to continuous improvement and learning new things

    • You want to work at a mission-oriented company and have a demonstrated interest in bettering our world
