The CFO supports a portfolio of clients, manages both the Attivo and Client accounting teams for the portfolio of clients, while building and managing client relationships. Critical outcomes include supporting the client executive team with key financial information and operational analytics, and driving a culture of accountability in managing the business, adding value to operating businesses and voicing well-substantiated advice even if dissenting from client management.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Building and maintain relationships with clients and key personnel within client companies.

  • Working with the executive management team to develop and execute the financial strategy of the company.

  • Providing financial leadership to scale efficiently, including developing budgets and providing accurate projections in support of business strategy.

  • Developing management dashboards and performance measures to communicate the company’s expected and actual financial performance.

  • Providing ongoing financial analysis and modeling to a range of company leaders in support of key business decisions.

  • Managing cash and cash forecasting.

  • Performing capital raising for both equity and debt.

  • Preparing Board packages and presentations.

  • Providing guidance on operational accounting finance matters, programs for the provision of capital, and business models.

  • Recommending improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information.

  • Leading financial aspects of potential M&A activity, including evaluation of M&A candidates, purchase agreements, and integration efforts.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Professional Attributes

  • Consulting/public accounting firm strongly preferred; MBA a plus.

  • Minimum 15 years in accounting/financial role with at least 5 years in a leadership roles,  including the position of Chief Financial Officer.

  • Working with venture-backed technology companies.

  • Building multi-product channels.

  • Fundraising through both equity and debt financing. 

  • Leading financial planning processes.

  • Presenting financial, operating, and business metrics and results to the Board of Directors and executive management.

  • Proven track record in successfully supporting growth using strong analytical skills and effective financial modeling and tracking.

  • Ability to oversee and review corporate accounting functions.

  • Solid understanding of financial compliance requirements and experience implementing and managing financial policies.

  • Knowledge of all aspects of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
